The 2016 St Lucia Festival of Light will be performed December 8-10, 2016.
Our young dancers will begin dance practice October 30. If you have any young friends or relatives (K-12th grade for dancers) who want to be involved, please invite them to join us on Sunday, October 30th at noon, and we will make sure they are part of this year’s celebration.
Volunteers are welcome! This event simply cannot become a reality without dozens of volunteers giving of their time and talents before and during the event. We will need bakers, set-up and clean-up, hosts, servers, and many other important roles. Please sign up here.
St. Mark’s celebrates its Swedish roots with this special gift to the community each December. The festival was first hosted in 1976. Families, friends, and neighbors are invited to enjoy our beautiful candlelit sanctuary, Lucia with her crown of lighted candles, our own Swedish singers and dancers, and Swedish treats. The festival makes a beautiful start to the Christmas season.
The funds raised during Lucia will go the The Center for New Americans to purchase baby items for refugee families.
