Mission

St. Mark’s contributes to the support of Miranda Meyer, ELCA missionary in Nicaragua. Miranda has a blog that you can visit by clicking here.

A unique and impactful part of St. Mark’s life is the regular sending of members on mission trips to our SD Synod sister churches in Nicaragua and Cameroon.

Mission Trip to Doya, Cameroon

St. Mark's mission trip to Cameroon includes travelers; Becky Ellis, Cathy Larson, Bill Lowder, Cathy Brechtelsbauer, Pat & Katie Hartigan. They will be returning Jan. 17th.

They will have pictures and stories to share soon after their return home. The roof has been completed on the church and relationships strengthened.

LWR Coffee Project: ensures that more of the money you spend on coffee reaches the farmers who actually grow it. Drink some fair-trade coffee at church, and check the cart in the back hall for some to take home.

FOOD PANTRY

In order to increase our awareness and to have a goal we weigh children from the church and then try meet that weight in food given the the Food Pantry. Rylee Johnson was weighed in on Sunday, January 2. Her weight is 38 pounds and Rylee likes pork chops and chocolate chip cookies.
